Colonic Hydrotherapy

Claire Richards is officially accredited and regulated to carry out colon hydrotherapy. She completed her Diploma in Colon Hydrotherapy from the British College of Colon Hydrotherapy in Gloucester in March 2004. She began her colon hydrotherapy practice initially in Sherburn in Elmet, Leeds and then in Boston Spa before moving to the York Clinic for Complementary Medicine. She is a registered therapist, being a member of the Association and Register of Colon Hydrotherapists (www.colonic-association.com), and as such is bound by that organisation's rules and code of ethics and required to maintain high professional standards at all times.

Claire Richards writes: "My career began in Nursing in 1994 in Leeds working in several different areas of nursing including trauma, intensive care, coronary care and care of the elderly as well as women’s health before later training and working as a midwife. I continue to practice as a registered nurse alongside my Colon Hydrotherapy practice. Claire Richards is the Colonic Hydrotherapist working at the York Clinic each Friday and Monday.
