With almost 25 years experience Lorna Cordwell offers Hypno-Psychotherapy (an integrative psychotherapy incorporating hypnosis) for a wide range of issues.
Lorna works with adult and teenage clients short term for issues such as stopping smoking, fear of flying, insomnia, driving test and exam nerves, and longer term for issues such as depression, general anxiety, compulsive behaviours and self defeating behaviours.
On starting therapy, Lorna says:
“What do you want and need from therapy? We’ll always begin with a consultation which means we’ll talk about what has been bothering you and how that’s been happening. We look at what makes a difference to that, and work out what your goals are. We’ll work together to create the change you want at the right pace for you; and to give you self-empowering and self-awareness tools for the future”
Lorna is currently studying for a Masters degree at University of Hull specialising in Hypnosis research. She was awarded her Psychology BSc from the University of London (London School of Economics) and her Advanced Diploma in Hypnosis and Psychotherapy from the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy. She is UKCP Accredited as a therapist and a Supervisor, supervises a group of hypnotherapists in London and has been a Senior Tutor of Hypnosis and Psychotherapeutic Counselling for the Chrysalis College Diploma course for the past seven years.
Lorna is the author of two self help books in areas that are specialties: “Get Past Driving Test Nerves” and “Get Past Exam Nerves”. She also has a clinic in London’s Harley Street, where she has worked for several years.
