Shelagh gained a diploma in massage and a degree in Chiropractic from the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in Oxfordshire and has completed various courses in remedial massage techniques. She is currently working toward a 500 hour teaching diploma with the British Wheel of Yoga. She is registered with the General Chiropractic Council (03620), is a member of the McTimoney Chiropractic Association and The British Wheel of Yoga.
She is a passionate advocate for natural health and well being, personally leading an active lifestyle. She regularly rides horses, practices yoga and rock climbing and indulges her passion for nature by walking as often as she can near her home on the Yorkshire Dales.
She has a special interest in exercise rehabilitation, using her experience of yoga to enhance chiropractic care by advising patients of suitable exercises for improved strength and flexibility. She is committed to personal development to enrich her experience and practice, with particular interest in soft tissue techniques and ensuring evidence based practice.
